- Alan Partridge: The Movie!...
The Sunday Times reported on 11th November the following:
" ALAN PARTRIDGE, the cheesy chat show host created by the comic actor Steve Coogan, is to return - this time to the big screen.
Five years after his last comedy series, when the socially inept disc jockey was left stranded in the backwaters of regional radio, he is to make the big time. But Partridge’s fictional comeback is sabotaged when a Middle Eastern terrorist cell hijacks the BBC head office, according to an outline of the proposed big-screen debut for Alan Partridge: The Movie.
Coogan returned to Britain last week after filming projects in California and Hawaii and knowing that in the US he is regarded as the talent who, alongside Ricky Gervais and Sacha Baron Cohen, will finally stop Americans talking about Monty Python and Benny Hill"... read more.

"There’s the bar, gentlemen. Choose your weapons"....
Do you remember the scene in I'm Alan Partridge Series 1 (Watership Alan - Ep3) when Alan falls asleep at the bar? Well, Johno, Gumski and Jules did that very thing. Another classic Partridge moment reinacted.
If you happen to find yourself in a Partridge moment and a camera is handy, try and capture it with a picture and send it in to the site. If you're lucky, you might appear on the site. Good luck!

- Partridge Pilgrimage...
Write-up thanks to The Gerlach Boys:
Following the inaugural Alanathon hosted by the lads in July, brothers Joe, Tom and Dan Gerlach embarked on a Partridge Pilgrimage on 7th August 2005.
With the parents gone on holiday, the house was immediately redressed as “The Cinnamons” (after a feud over the name “Lord House”). The morning was greeted with a full English breakfast, which included running a scam with a twelve-inch plate. As per usual, the eggs were segregated from the beans by using sausages as a breakwater. Ruby grapefruit juice helped to break the gas down.
Lunch - Strawberry Nesquilk, fishcakes, then dump (?).
Driving in his bare feet, Joe travelled with Tom and Dan to Wildwood Country Club, aka Choristers, on the road to Horsham, Surrey. Once there, the three brothers proceeded to the bar to have a pint of Directors and a read of Simon Heffer, on the veranda. Unfortunately, we could not book a function room under the guise of the Real IRA. However, we were asked to leave by the bar staff after gratuitous photo taking. And because Tom was violating the “no denim” regulation.
Of course, the golden moment would have been to pass security and then pierce our feet on a spike, however, the said spikes and security intercom do not exist, at least at this location. Does anyone know where this part of Choristers is filmed?
Anyhow, before leaving, being brave people, Tom and Joe realised that they needed to get Dan’s attention, who happened to be the other side of the car park – the attached film shows the results.
With so much to do, the Partridge Pilgrimage will spill into tomorrow – a cup of beans for breakfast.
Right, we’re off for Ladyboys down the local. Now you’re talking my language. I hope not.
Check out some pictures and videos from the event:

- New Alan Partridge DVD...
Sanctuary Visual Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of "Alan Partridge Presents The Cream Of British Comedy" for 26th September 2005. Alan Partridge's PA Lynn pulled off a bit of a coup when she managed to land Radio Norwich's premier DJ the job of presenting the 2004 Teenage Cancer Trust Comedy night at the Royal Albert Hall. Boasting a stellar comic line-up that included the likes of Ricky Gervais, Simon Pegg, Rob Brydon, Rich Hall, Noel Fielding and guest stars, the 2004 Teenage Cancer Trust Comedy night has already gone down in comic folklore.
Recorded in March 2004, the Teenage Cancer Trust shows held at the Royal Albert Hall have become some of the most exciting and memorable events on the entertainment industry calendar. Last year's comedy night, hosted by Steve Coogan as his hilarious alter-ego Alan Partridge, proved to be the highlight of the week of events organised to support this worthy cause.
Alongside almost ninety minutes of side splitting comedy recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall, fans of Alan Partridge will not want to miss his hilarious interview with Who front man and Teenage Cancer Trust patron, Roger Daltrey CBE. Fifteen minutes in duration and written and recorded exclusively for the DVD, this is Alan at his very best. A 12 minute Teenage Cancer Trust promotional video is also included in the bonus material for "Alan Partridge Presents The Cream Of British Comedy", alongside five 2 minute VH1 interstitials.
Presented in anamorphic widescreen with English stereo sound bonus features include:
- Teenage Cancer Trust promotional video
- Interview with Alan Partridge & Roger Daltrey for Radio Norwich
- 5 VH1 Interstitials
Write-up courtesy of Dave Foster from DVD Times. Official Press Release for the DVD is available here.
